In class today, you read an article about Florida's Economy. If you took it home to finish, make sure you turn it in tomorrow. Also, don't forget your homework tonight: find out what the number 1 industry is in Georgia. Tomorrow we will see how close you came with your guesses in class. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdwDCNC4Hkk DON'T FORGET: Bring your copy of Flush by Carl Hiaasen to school on Monday, 3/26.

Reading Lab will be available tomorrow morning. Don't forget you need to purchase or borrow a copy of Flush by Carl Hiaasen and have it at school by Monday, March 26. If you want to keep in my cabinet, make sure that you put your name on the side of it. So, what is the first thing you think of when you here "Florida"?
Don't forget you need your copy of Flush by Carl Hiaasen by Monday, March 26. It is here the beginning of the last quarter. As many of you already know, we will be reading Flush by Carl Hiaasen for this unit. I have asked you to have a copy of the book by Monday, March 26. Yes, you may read the book on your Kindles and Nooks.
Don't forget tomorrow you can earn a ticket for bringing a pleasure reading book to class because we will have sometime for independent reading. However, if you forget your book, you will not receive a ticket and your eagle card will be marked for being unprepared for class. Also, here is the new grading policy for team 6B. Remember we will work with those of you who have teachers on team 6A. Team 6B New Grading Policy 4th Quarter Due to excessive zeroes and assignments being turned in late, Team 6B will be implementing a new grading policy for the final quarter of this school year. If a student has a zero for an assignment, they must turn it in within 3 days of the due date, or it will remain a zero. Teachers will no longer assign working lunches except in the case of students who have not completed a test or quiz. As an added incentive, twice during the fourth quarter teachers will offer students who have turned in everything “recess” time during part of 5th period. The second “recess” will be for students who have no zeroes from the progress report to the end of the quarter recess date. On recess days, students who have a zero will be working on an assignment that will have the greatest impact on their grade in a class that they must pass to move on to 7th grade. *However, this does not supersede the NO LATE Homework policy stated in Pellegrino’s Social Studies and Hanse’s Reading syllabus at the beginning of the year. Tomorrow is a half day. School will be dismissed at 1:30.
During our half day, we will start our presentations about the people who helped to save Jews during the Holocaust. If you are not finished, you will need to come to Reading Lab tomorrow morning as I will not have the iPads except before school. Don't forget to bring your rubric. Have a good evening. If you need to work on your project, the iPads and computers will be available in my room tomorrow morning beginning at 8:15. Study Hall is aware that I may have students coming in. Have a good evening.
