Oh my what a busy Monday. The Poetry Unit final is scheduled for this Friday, 11/10, and we are working feverishly to get through the last of the material. Today, we practiced poetry analysis, in other words, taking everything we have learned over the past several weeks and applied it to poems as a whole. For HW, you have 4 poems to analyze. I am attaching a sample notebook paper of how you should set up your paper for each of the poems. Remember you have to answer all questions for all poems. Also, do not do anything with the Hyperbole and Idiom sheets; those are for class on Wednesday.
Don't forget to complete your study guide. It could mean the difference between an A and an F especially if you really study it and practice the analysis. If you can't find your Elements of Poetry notes to help you complete the study guide, all of the PPT's we have had to this point are on last Friday's blog, 11/3. You will have hyperbole and idiom on Wednesday, but you did study these in ELA, so you should have some kind of an idea what they are. Enjoy your day off, and I will see you on Wednesday. poetry_analysis_sample_notebook_paper_answer_sheet.docx 3._poetry_analysis_poems.pdf 2._poetry_analysis_practice_questions.pdf Comments are closed.
